Dr. Zhezhu Wen is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management in the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno. He specializes in production and operations management, with research at the intersection of operations, supply chain management, technology and organizational capabilities.

His research examines how organizations design, manage and improve operational systems in response to technological change, market uncertainty, and evolving customer expectations. His recent work addresses operational agility, e-commerce and platform operations, quality management, sustainability and ESG integration, and the application of artificial intelligence to operations and managerial decision-making. His research emphasizes both theory development and practical relevance, with particular interest in connecting empirical analysis to operational and managerial problems.

In his teaching, Dr. Wen emphasizes the application of analytical methods to real business decisions and encourages students to connect operations management concepts with contemporary organizational challenges. At Fresno State, he teaches MGT 124 Production/Operations Management, MBA 205 Production Operations Management, and MBA 289T Managing Quality and Service Excellence.

Dr. Wen's scholarship focuses broadly on how organizations develop operational capabilities and respond to technological, competitive, and institutional change. His recent research includes studies of promotional strategy and seller performance on e-commerce platforms, operational agility across societal cultures, ESG implementation, quality and performance, and artificial intelligence applications in complex project environments.
