Dr. Gil Kim is a professor in the Department of Economics at California State University, Fresno. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. Her primary research interests include open economy macroeconomics and economic education. She has worked on the topics such as exchange rate movement, Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), the effect of oil prices on the economy, and economic education. She has taught various courses, including Intermediate Macroeconomics, Principle of Macroeconomics, Introduction to the Business Cycles, and Money and Banking.

She has publications in multiple journals, including the Journal of Applied Economics, Energy Economics, Journal of Economic Studies, International Journal of Pluralism and Economics Education, and the Journal of Asian Economics.
