How to Apply - Global Incoming
STEP 1
Application
After we received the nomination from your university, we will send the application form along with the application instruction to you directly.
STEP 2
Documents
Submit the following documents along with the completed application form:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score
You can provide the TOEFL score in the followings:
a. Paper-Based Test: 500 or above
b. Internet-Based Test: 61 or above
or
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.0 or above
or
- TOEIC score: 750 or above
Students from University of Hertfordshire (UK), Jonkoping International Business School (Sweden), The Hauge University (The Netherlands) and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands) are not required to take the TOEFL.
and
- Official transcript in English
- Bank Statement (stated that you have at least $10,000 for one semester or $20,000 for one academic year)
- Copy of Valid Passport
For submission of the above documents, you can either email Crystal or Alfred.
STEP 3
Fresno State Email Account
You will receive an email from the ISSP office with your Fresno State student ID number. Please use the student ID number to create you account at here.
STEP 4
Information
Email Crystal or Alfred the following information:
- Last name
- First name
- Gender
- Semester(s) you are applying for
- Major option/Study area
- Fresno State ID number
- Fresno State email address
- Other email address
STEP 5
Health Insurance
All international students must be covered by health insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in the CSU-sponsored health insurance policy.
Please be advised that health insurance policy is REQUIRED and will not be waived or substituted by any other health insurance policies.
STEP 6
Travel Arrangement
Purchase your airplane ticket. Please remember you must arrive in Fresno at least 7 days before instruction begins. You are required to participate in two different orientation sessions, so it is very important you arrive in Fresno on time. The orientation dates will inform you by email later.
STEP 7
Housing
On-campus and off-campus housings are available. It is your responsibility to apply for your accommodation and to complete their requirements.
a. On-campus Housing

b. Off-campus Housing
Please visit: www.fresno.och101.com.
In regards to the off-campus housing, please be advised that the most leases are for 10 or 12 months. If you are planning to stay for less than 12 months, you are required to sell your lease before your departure. Please read your rental agreement carefully and contact your rental office directly for any other inquiries.
