There is so much more to learn that what is in the classroom. Service learning, internships, clubs and organizations play an important role in your personal growth and success beyond the classroom.

The B.A.S.E Office works closely with the Career Development Center and the Office of Student Experiences to ensure that you are career ready upon graduation.

Business, Economics and Fashion Merchandising are multi-disciplinary degrees that can allow you to have a career in almost any field. You can explore the Career Development Center's website to see what career community you wish to explore.

Candid Career- Explore Careers by Major

For nearly all options within Business Administration (Accountancy is the only exception, but you can still get units), you can use an internship to satisfy one of your Option Elective courses. 

For Fashion Merchandising and Economics, you can also use an internship to satisfy degree requirements or elective units to obtain 120 units. 

If you have obtained an internship and would like to see if you can earn credit for it, please contact the Office of Student Experiences to have your internship reviewed. 

Advising Note: the internship must relate to your option in order to get major course credit.

HireFresnoState is Fresno State’s one-stop-shop for access to part-time jobs, on-campus student jobs, internships, and career opportunities. Students, Alumni and Employers (both off-campus and on-campus) have a customized portal to connect students and alumni to opportunities.
