Dr. K.C. Chen is the Brix Endowed Chair in Finance Emeritus at California State University-Fresno.
He currently teaches the Student-Managed Investment Funds (SMIF) Program that manages
$6.7 million of the university endowment funds. His SMIF Program has received many
accolades, including winning first place at the Global Portfolio Competition in 2014
and 2023. His current research and teaching interests include financial engineering,
business valuation, and money management. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst
(CFA) designation.
