Dr. Susan A. Henderson has a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the University
of Florida and specializes in accounting research. She has been an instructor at Fresno
State since 2009, where she began her teaching career as a lecturer and currently
holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Accountancy. Dr. Henderson
is the incoming Chair for the Department of Accountancy beginning in Fall 2023 and
is the Program Coordinator for the Professional Accounting Certificate Program, where
she actively advises students and alumni on CPA exam related inquiries. Susan holds
an active Certified Public Accounting license in the state of California and has practiced
public accounting in both audit and tax. Currently, she provides CPA consulting services
to businesses in the Central Valley of California with a specialty in governmental
and nonprofit organizations and agriculture. Susan’s research interests include accounting
for sustainable practices (specifically in the agriculture realm), governmental and
nonprofit accounting, ethics, and accounting pedagogy. Susan earned her Bachelor
of Science in Business Administration with an option in Accounting and her Master
of Accountancy from California State University, Fresno.
