Lolita brings nearly three decades of professional accounting and finance experience
to the classroom. Her career includes service as a Senior Financial Analyst Investigator
with FSA Federal supporting the U.S. Attorney’s Office; Accounting and Financial Division
Chief for the Fresno County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector; Assistant Financial Controller for PepsiCo International; Senior Accountant/Auditor
for the City of Fresno; and Corporate Controller for Elimcare, LLC.
Her expertise spans financial reporting, managerial and forensic accounting, ethics,
litigation support, asset analysis, and tax collection, along with extensive experience
leading union-represented teams in governmental settings. She currently serves as
Chapter Chair of the Fresno parent chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants
(IMA) and as President and CFO of the HOA Board, “The Architectural Committee for
Tract # 5564.”
A two-time Fresno State alumna, Lolita holds an MBA and is a lifetime member of Beta
Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma. Teaching, however, is where her passion lies. Since
joining the Craig School of Business Accounting Department in 2016, she has drawn
on her professional experience to help students connect textbook theory to the way
accounting, ethics, and decision-making actually work in practice — championing integrity
and career-ready accounting professionals.
