Lolita brings more than three decades of professional accounting and finance experience
to the classroom, including roles as a Senior Financial Analyst Investigator with
FSA Federal supporting the U.S. Attorney's Office, Accounting and Financial Division
Chief for the Fresno County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector, Assistant
Financial Controller for PepsiCo International, Senior Accountant/Auditor for the
City of Fresno, and Corporate Controller for Elimcare, LLC.
Her practical expertise spans financial reporting, managerial and forensic accounting,
ethics, litigation, and asset analysis, as well as tax collection, along with extensive
experience leading union-represented teams across governmental, private-sector, and
international settings. Lolita currently serves as President of the Institute of Management
Accountants (IMA) Fresno parent chapter. She also serves as the President and CFO
of the HOA Board, "The Architectural Committee for Tract # 5564".
She brings her professional experience straight into the classroom, helping students
connect the theory in their textbooks to the way accounting, ethics, and decision-making
actually work in the field. That said, her true passion is being in the classroom
with her students. Since joining the Craig School of Business Accounting Department
in 2016, she has taught by championing ethics, integrity, and career-ready accounting
professionals.
