The MBA program is for individuals with business degrees and individuals with degrees
in other disciplines who would like to extend their business education.
To complete the degree, a student must take 36 units (12 courses). Some students may
have to take up to 15 units of prerequisite classes in addition to the standard 36
units depending on the type of coursework they have completed previously. We promote
schedule flexibility in our program as our Traditional MBA courses are in the evenings,
our Online Blended MBA courses can be taken from home and our EMBA courses mainly
occur on Saturdays. This allows students the ability to work during the day.
Our curriculum emphasizes applied learning and experiential exercises that develop
the critical thinking skills that are necessary for careers in business and other
industries. Additionally, our MBA students are able to build their network through
our program. We have developed a networking process that keeps you in touch with faculty
and MBA alumni after graduation.
Summer Study Abroad is also available. We encourage students to take part in this
program so that they may gain international experience and develop professional versatility.
The
Traditional MBA is mainly geared toward students entering with limited professional experience and
consists of in-person seminars and lectures. All classes are in the evenings.
The
Online Blended MBA allows individuals to have more schedule flexibility. It is designed for students
who cannot attend classes on specific nights due to family or employment issues. Additionally,
the program is appropriate for those who have long commutes, those who cannot reach
campus effectively or those who prefer an online learning method.
The
MBA for Executives (EMBA) is for individuals who have ten or more years of professional experience and at least
three years of managerial experience. This program is accelerated and can be completed
in approximately 17 months. EMBA students must complete a boot camp series of five
prerequisite classes in two and a half weeks. All other classes occur on Saturdays.
The
Ag MBA for Executives (Ag EMBA) is similar to the EMBA, requiring individuals to have ten or more years of professional
experience and at least three years of managerial experience. This program is accelerated
and can be completed in approximately 17 months. Ag EMBA students must complete a
boot camp series of five prerequisite classes in two and a half weeks. All other classes
occur on Saturdays. Students will learn from professors who come from agricultural
backgrounds and relevant topics will be discussed in the course material. The Ag EMBA
will also include the standard MBA curriculum that is taught in the other programs.
