About the Department

We are the faculty teaching students who are seeking to obtain a business degree with an option in Human Resource Management, are committed to producing students that are well prepared to continue their education in graduate school or law school, as well as directly having successful careers as HRM professionals. Evidence of their progress will be a significant number of graduates:

• Acceptance into graduate programs or law schools, as well as employment in the field of HRM
• Completion of the graduate program or law school, as well as promotion into mid-level management positions within their organization within a five to seven year period
• Promotion to a high level position within their organization within 20 years. Students who obtain a degree with an HRM major will be able to adapt to a wide variety of industries and corporate cultures, as well as have career paths in such areas as selection and recruitment, labor and employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and employment law.
